BECA Filters: Baghouse Cyclo-Filter

  • Perfect for handling abrasive, sticky or humid materials
  • Capable to withstand up to 4 000 Pa vacuum, due to circular construction
  • Equipped with reverse jet cleaning feature for easy maintenance

Over the last several years, there is a significant increase in the popularity of cartridge filters. It is because this type of filter is:

  • suitable for a wide range of applications,
  • more convenient to place,
  • less costly in maintenance,
  • more efficient in dust and smoke extraction.

Even if the maintenance of the bag can get complicated, baghouse filters remain the preferred choice when handling larger particles, fibrous, abrasive, sticky or humid materials – especially when it comes to oils or higher temperatures. Not to mention the over-pressure installation option which is not available with cartridge counterparts.

BECA cyclo-filters are one of the most unique baghouse filters in the Formula Air product range. Its circular construction is designed to withstand a strong vacuum by distributing homogeneously the pressure over its entire surface.

In this filter the polluted air enters through a tangential inlet at the base of the cylindrical body, contributing to a cyclonic effect creating an efficient pre-separation of the heaviest particles that fall in the dust bin. The flow of air, now composed only of the lighter particles, passes through the filter bags, trapping the particles, and letting the purified air out through the exhaust of the filter.

The cleaning of the filter sleeves is ensured by an automatic reverse jet cleaning controlled by a differential pressure sequencer which injects compressed air inside the sleeves to detach the particles accumulated on the outside of the filter elements, thus keeping them always in excellent efficiency which increases the longevity of the bags.

In addition, the BECA filter range is also available in ATEX certified models for zone 22 3D.
